Why dome construction matters
A camera mounted at normal doorway or parking-garage height can be grabbed, struck or redirected. A tougher dome reduces exposed moving parts and makes tampering harder than a protruding bullet camera.
Do not confuse weather protection with impact resistance
IP ratings describe dust/water protection. IK ratings describe mechanical impact resistance. A weatherproof camera is not automatically vandal resistant.
