Audit & upgrades

Replace the bottleneck, not the whole system

A useful upgrade starts with the evidence requirement: what must the system prove, at what distance, for how long, and through which failure conditions? Then replace only the component preventing that result.

Start with the Upgrade Readiness Checker. It separates image-detail, channel-count, storage, PoE, network and reliability problems so a camera upgrade does not become an unnecessary full-system rebuild.
Before upgrading: run the System Health Checklist. A failed disk, damaged cable or dirty lens can look like a hardware-obsolescence problem.
