An RV needs a camera architecture that survives shore power, off-grid parking and unreliable campground networks.

Power is the hidden constraint
A plug-in camera may be excellent on shore power and useless during storage if the outlets go dead. Battery cameras solve installation but introduce charging and sleep behavior. An RV with a house battery and solar can support a dedicated router/camera setup, but every always-on device becomes part of the energy budget.
Interior versus exterior
An interior camera aimed toward the entrance avoids rain and makes theft of the camera less likely. Exterior coverage detects activity earlier but requires secure mounting and weather resistance. Be careful about capturing neighboring campsites or areas where people reasonably expect privacy.
Design for weak cellular service
Choose a system that keeps recording locally when LTE drops. Remote access should be an added capability, not the only recording path.
Control data usage
Live viewing can consume far more data than a handful of short event uploads. Avoid leaving the stream open, and use detection zones to reduce false events when the RV is parked near foot traffic.
