Driveways and gates
The RLC-811A is easier to tune around a gate or driveway choke point because its optical zoom changes framing without throwing away recorded pixels. The RLC-810A can do the same job efficiently if you already know whether 2.8mm, 4mm or 6mm fits the geometry.
Cost and complexity
The RLC-810A has fewer moving/auxiliary features and is the more straightforward perimeter camera. The RLC-811A adds optical zoom, spotlight and two-way audio. Those extras matter when you need active deterrence or field adjustment; they add little value on a fixed overview position.
Local-first tie
Both fit a PoE/NVR architecture and support local recording. The decision is therefore mainly optical and functional rather than subscription-related.
