Local storage cost
Arlo can record locally, but that path requires a compatible SmartHub/Base Station. That extra hardware belongs in the ownership-cost calculation. The S340 includes 8GB of local eMMC storage and can later join HomeBase 3.
Coverage
Arlo’s 130° fixed view is simple and predictable. eufy’s S340 is built for broader active coverage, using a wide camera, telephoto camera and motorized pan/tilt. That can reduce blind spots, but it also creates a more complex moving-camera behavior than several fixed cameras.
Subscription economics
